Sagarmatha - "Monks Cowl Adventure" is specialized in hikings around the world. Since 2004 we have moved our base camp to South Africa. We are located in the central Drakensberg of KwaZulu Natal, on a 600 acres farm, about 2 km from the Culfargie Park.

We organize in the Central Drakensberg hikes from half day to 9 days.

Fires

While fires enhance camp-side atmosphere they are highly dangerous and are banned from the wilderness area. (Fires are allowed at official camp sites only.) The ecology of the Drakensberg is extremely sensitive to fire and an untimely fire could spell out extinction for some species

Also smoking can be dangerous. For making food use only camping stoves on gas or fuel, keep water close.
